May 2008 - Social Report

  • 5/19/08 – “RCC Club Meeting”, good size group of 64 members, sure looked like more than that, weather again was very cool for this time of the year, but there were a lot of Corvettes out in the parking lot, including the new 2008 of Gene & Jane Scorse and the highly modified 2005 of Phil Garofolo (Bob Johnson’s). There were also a few new members in attendance. Meeting went well, funding, not to exceed $400 was approved for T-Shirts for the October 5th “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk”, and Tech Questions were answered. Don’t forget the next club meeting is at 7:00pm at “Bill Gray’s” in the Frontier Commons.

  • 5/4/08 – “RCC Spring Ride/Dinner”, to the “Lumber Yard”, 16 Vettes left on a ugly day, but as we got half way into the ride the sun came out and it turned-out to be a nice day. We met-up with Totsline’s and Graf’s in Warsaw, where Gary Graf led us the rest of the way in on a beautiful high road where we could see the whole valley and then Silver Lake, nice ride. When we got there the LaDuca’s were already there. Once inside we were treated to a wonderful dinner, hard to beat this dinner, 37 people all together, nice group. Thanks to Mike Tedesche for again setting this event up. Nice to have the Vettes out for this ride/dinner.

    • NOTE: Make sure you plan on attending the August 3rd “RCC Outdoor Car Show/Sponsor Appreciation Day” at Bob Johnson Chevrolet, this event is very special and is a way to show appreciation to our great sponsor Bob Johnson Chevrolet for all they do for us, lets have a HUGE display, all the info will be in this Newsletter and also on the RCC Web Site or you can call Dave Holtz at: #585-352-9044 or Barry Alt at: #(315) 597-9706
